Suicide Lullaby July 29, 2009. © Talon Truitt Cherry, All rights reserved In our lives we all have disappointments. but what happens when they stretch beyond our reach? When our burdens grow too great for us to hold them, and the crushing weights too great for us to keep. We pray to gods to help us with our troubles, sometimes it seams they can't help what we see. We lose our faith and then our trouble doubles, We start to drown as our tears create a sea. We try to sleep away the rain and chaos. In those few moments of sleep we are so free, and underneath the pain we strain to be lost, and drink away our worst of memories. In this world we are so blinded by lies, that we fail to see the soul that lies beneath. The masquerade portrayed shades our nights cries, and forces us to believe in what we see. The evil comes and feeds on what we're feeling, then in the end convinces us to bleed. No longer do we find the time for kneeling, and asking for the strength to just be free. Our final words ring out embraced in liquor, and a full moon sings our tired souls to sleep. They say that life is quick tonight its quicker. We finally drank away our memories. Put the gun up to your head and pull the trigger. Two seconds of pain and then you are free. Goodnight to the ones who were not figured, to take they’re lives while others were asleep
