Sailing July 29, 2009. © Talon Truitt Cherry, All rights reserved Upon a sinking ship I sail, out here on the sea. None think that I will prevail. They say I won't succeed. The time has come for everyone, to see what I can be. And clearly I will go sailing, once more. There was a time I was so proud, to do what I could do. In my prime I was so loud, out here on the blue. One more day the world will say, that I will not come through. But I will go sailing, once more. Here I once was superman, here I used to fly. But there’s nothing more they'd rather see, than see a hero die. So now I quit, I sink my ship, With a tear up in one eye. And I will go sailing. no more. For years Iv sat in this dark room, Dreaming about the sea. The thought of my decisions made, have always haunted me. And so I die a broken man, I pray death will set me free! so I may go sailing, once more.
