Sad Song August 26, 2009. © Talon Truitt Cherry, All rights reserved Tattooed tears fall like rain on my face today. Permanent reminders of my sins. From blue eyes they fall again, painting the way. Until my eyes run dry, and the blue turns to gray. All of the pain within released with a blade. The cut runs so deep and then. The blood joins the tears in a sweet serenade. Singing my soul to sleep night after night Hoping the next cut bleeds me tearless and dry. And I dance to this sad song, right up till dawn. Death will be coming, before too long. The cut all but kills me, the scar still remains. Hundreds of white lines, and all have their names. Lying, cheating, yelling, screaming. all carved so deeply, into my veins. Through the night they remind me of the reason I cry, And they all join together to sing this lullaby. And I dance to this sad song, Right up till dawn. Death will be coming before too long Depression becomes me. All light fades away. Falling so deeply in love with the pain. Again and again the marks grow on my veins. Death won't come quick enough so one choice remains. So I stand in my room and I pick up the gun. This is it, the end, it cannot be undone. The barrel it sings to me, it seems to be fun. my scars blood and tears join in all in one. And I dance to this sad song, right up till dawn. Death will be coming before too long. And I die to this sad song, they find me at dawn. Maybe here is where I belong.
