Road of Despair 1998 ish. © Talon Truitt Cherry, All rights reserved There is a road Stretched far behind me Long and winding But it gets there On this road you will find me wandering blindly without a care Every body needs somebody Every body needs a friend We all need somebody we can count on Till the end. But that road Leads me blindly Through a life of Complete despair I will stay and wander blindly Until I find some body who cares Misery loves company that's what they say to me But to me company is misery That’s all I'll ever see So if you want you can find me wandering blindly without a care on that road long and winding completely blinding Road of despair. Author notes I was going through some old things, and I found my first book of poems, and songs. On the first page signed by a younger me in 1996 was this short song. I think it belongs in this collection. "I was ten"
