Dream August 6, 2009. © Talon Truitt Cherry, All rights reserved In my mind I hide away, in a place once left untouched. Others not allowed to play, so I never said too much. Wasted tears of my dismay, fill the rivers in my head. By the willow tree I lay, and pray for the day that ill be dead So peaceful this hidden place of mine, time itself stood still within Fighting battles in my mind, only I could understand the end Countless dreams of my demise, fueled the rage I kept so hot When I wake I soon realize, that life had come and death had not. In my mind I seem to break, consequence of pills I take. Now it's getting hard to stand, taken down by my own hand. Emptiness is what I’ve found, peace alone at six feat down Trapped within these walls inside, in these pages I confide. Time it stops to show the way, but forgets its stopped and so am I Frozen on this ground I lay, speechless, thoughtless, time stands by.
