Too long ago,
to remember my reasons for leaving you now
All I know is I had heaven
I held heaven
In the palm of my hand and it was weighing me down
How could anyone hold together
I wish we could have somehow

If I could make my own forever
Despite all the lies and the fights Id bring you back to me
Forever
Somehow I would hold us together
And make the old memories more than distant fantasies
Forever
Together

Just like a ghost
I think of you most when the sun goes down
I try to close my eyes forever
I held forever
In the palm of my hand and it scared me somehow
So I let it go forever
I wish I hadn’t now

But if I could make my own forever
I'd bring back the time you were mine and make you happy
Forever
I would open my eyes forever
So that I may not miss all the things that feel like fantasies
Like you loving me
forever

Just so you know
You were right I was fine without you somehow
Even though I thought Id be nothing
I’ve held nothing
